MINISTRING: PASTOR BALOGUN OLANIRAN JOSHUA

13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. 14 The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

My God is a Miracle God, my God is a miracle God

He will never fail He has never changed

He will do what he says he will do

I can see Him working in my favour

I can see Him fight all my battles

I can see Him bringing in my miracles

He will do what he says He will do

I want to appreciate the Almighty God for this morning and the privileges He has given you and me to be alive, well and able to see today. May the name of the Lord be praised forever in the name of Jesus.

I will be ministering this morning on the topic: WHEN GOD FIGHTS YOUR BATTLE.

I want you to know that the battles are real, in fact very real, challenges of life are also real, wickedness is real, oppression is also real, but more real is the power of God. The Bible admonishes us that we wrestle not against flesh and blood. Therefore, we should not relent in our efforts in trusting God to help us. The joy of it is that, Jesus has overcome and has handed over the victory to the church. The enemies are not tired, not relenting and that is why battles of life and the challenges won’t end.

Battles of life are of different sizes and forms. Some are even there before you were born. Some are just coming up now, there are some that can even outlive those who initiated it. A good example is the curse that Joshua placed on Jericho in Joshua 6:26 (KJV)  And Joshua adjured them at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before the LORD, that riseth up and buildeth this city Jericho: he shall lay the foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it.

That curse, according to scholars, lived for 550 years before the victim contacted. 1 Kings 16:34 (KJV)  In his days did Hiel the Beth-elite build Jericho: he laid the foundation thereof in Abiram his firstborn, and set up the gates thereof in his youngest son Segub, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Joshua the son of Nun.

I am here to tell you this morning that God can take over that battle.  He can fight for you so that you will hold your peace. I don’t know the battle you are fighting in your home, in your marriage,  in your body or even in your office or in your place of business, God can help you, that is my business this morning to tell you that God will help you. He will fight your battle in Jesus name.

When we say God can fight for you,  what do we mean? Listen attentively,  it means God will step into that situation,  begins to control things (taking over), doing the way no one seems to understand, in a way that goes beyond human comprehension.  For example,  in Joshua 10:10-11 (KJV)

10 And the LORD discomfited them before Israel, and slew them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, and chased them along the way that goeth up to Beth-horon, and smote them to Azekah, and unto Makkedah. 11 And it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel, and were in the going down to Beth-horon, that the LORD cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword.

In the above passage,  Joshua was doing his own, then God stepped in, you know the rest of the story. He threw the enemies into confusion then thereafter,  He bombed them from above.

If there is a prayer you and me needs to pray while facing challenges or battles, is Lord please step in. Why do I need to pray? It because there are battles you can not win or even attempt to fight it on your own. This is because you know you will lose. If you think you are strong, there are people and situations stronger than you, if you think you are big, there are bigger ones. Go and ask Fubara, he will tell you it is true. So you need the greatest of all to step in and help you. Psalms 91:1 (KJV)  He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

When God fights for you, He does it clinically and mathematically.  How do I mean? a mathematician will first of all define the situation, identify the variables and solve the problems. You will discover, God does not make any mistakes while dealing with the Egyptians with all the 10 plaques, this is because He has identified various variables.

The Lord is willing to take over the battles for you if you are willing to do the following.

  1. Become His son or daughter.  When you become His genuine son or daughter,  He is committed to fighting your for you. Romans 8:31 (KJV)  What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

  1. You must be ready and willing to accept His leading. Many have failed in life because they refused His leadership style. God is slow, I want it faster. It is only His children that He will lead. In Job 22:22 (KJV)  Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart. NKJV SAYS PLEASE.

In Exodus 13:17 (KJV)  And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt:

There were two ways leading to the promised land. One shorter and the other longer. The shorter one was through the lands of the Philistines while the longer was through the wilderness of the Red sea. God chose the longer one. In our days now, we can be arguing with Him but that was what He chose.

Listen, God is absolutely committed to His leading. You disregard His leading you are on your own.

  1. You must be willing to obey His voice why leading you. In Prov.3.5 Trust GOD from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. 6 Listen for GOD’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track. (MSB)

If you want Him to fight that battle,  don’t try to figure out things on your own. Do it His ways.

In Exodus 14:1-2 (KJV)1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, that they turn and encamp before Pi-hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, over against Baal-zephon: before it shall ye encamp by the sea.

What you enjoy most when you obey His voice is that God won’t withdraw His presence from you. Exodus 13:21-22 (KJV)

21 And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night: 22 He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.

  1. There are times God will want you to be quiet before Him to see His salvation. The time you will hold your peace and wait for the next instructions from Him. Do not go ahead of Him. This time around you can pray and wait upon the Lord in fasting, just like the Jews did in India when Hamman planned to wipe them off.

What happens when God fights for you?

  1. The first thing you will notice is God is fighting on your behalf is that He will be making ways where there is no way and was no way. When it happens, you don’t need to be told that someone is fighting for you.

The Isrealites were told to move forward against the waters but to their greatest surprise. GOD opened the water. At that time a relief came. You will also remember when the Jews were in the battle against Hamman, Esther was not suppose to appear before the king except on invitation but God made a way for her. What suppose to be a death sentence, turned to a favor sentenced.

  1. God can do some arrangements or rearrangements to see the best way to strike the enemies. For example in Exodus 14:19-20 (KJV)

19 And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them: 20 And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night.

The purpose of this is that He does not want His children to be harmed. Also in Esther 5:14 (KJV)  Then said Zeresh his wife and all his friends unto him, Let a gallows be made of fifty cubits high, and to morrow speak thou unto the king that Mordecai may be hanged thereon: then go thou in merrily with the king unto the banquet. And the thing pleased Haman; and he caused the gallows to be made.

The Chief Strategist has taken millions steps ahead of their plan. King was not sleeping, Hamman too was not sleeping until he finds himself in the palace.  Hamman went their to present how Mordecai would be executed but God allowed the king to speak first. Over your case your enemies will not have the final say in Jesus name.

  1. God will begin to trouble the enemies. In Joshua 10:10  we read earlier, He troubled the enemies. Whenever God is arranging and rearranging like that,  He want to get the best time to strike at the enemy. Before God dealth with Hamman, He first of all, humiliated him before Mordecai so also the LORD humiliated the Egyptians. In Exodus 14:24-25 (KJV)24 And it came to pass, that in the morning watch the LORD looked unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the host of the Egyptians, 25 And took off their chariot wheels, that they drave them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the LORD fighteth for them against the Egyptians.

God looked at them between 3 and 6, and dealt with them, it was in the morning also God began to humiliate Hamman.

  1. The Lord will make it difficult for the enemy to turn back. At that time, it will be too late for the enemy to reverse.  In Exodus 14:25 (KJV)  And took off their chariot wheels, that they drave them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the LORD fighteth for them against the Egyptians.

Flee from where, it was already too late. He has dealt with the wheel of their chariots, no turning back. He had already slow them down forcefully.  All your pursuer will be slowdown compulsorily Jesus name. The Egyptians at this point knew God was fighting against them but nothing they could do. In the same vein, Esther 6:13-14 (KJV)

13 And Haman told Zeresh his wife and all his friends every thing that had befallen him. Then said his wise men and Zeresh his wife unto him, If Mordecai be of the seed of the Jews, before whom thou hast begun to fall, thou shalt not prevail against him, but shalt surely fall before him. 14 And while they were yet talking with him, came the king’s chamberlains, and hasted to bring Haman unto the banquet that Esther had prepared.

It was that journey Hamman want that took him down to death, he’ll. He returned back to his house an accused, sentenced to death by hanging. He would have repented if they had not come for him, but it was too late.

  1. God closes  the chapter. After the Lord had troubled then,  in verse 27, he told Moses  to close the business,  the waters returned and buried the enemies. In Esther 7:6 (KJV)  And Esther said, The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman. Then Haman was afraid before the king and the queen.

Hamman has been enjoying Esther’s food for fun, even bragging about it, not knowing that he was eating his last meal on earth. You know the story, he ended up on the gallows he built.  In the name of Jesus,  the pit the enemy dug for you shall be his or her grave in Jesus name.

As I close this morning,  do you have a relationship with God that will make Him to fight for you? Do you want to surrender all to Him so that He can take over?

FATHER,  EVERY STANDARD THE ENEMY IS RAISING TO OVERWHELM ME AND TAKE ME OUT WILL BE DESTROYED IN JESUS NAME.

FATHER, YOUR INVISIBLE HANDS WILL DELIVER ME FROM ALL THE TRAPS THE ENEMIES SET FOR ME IN JESUS NAME.
