Topic: The Great Provider
Text: Genesis 22:1-9 (KJV)
1 And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am. 2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. 3 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him. 4 Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off. 5 And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you. 6 And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together. 7 And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering? 8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.
9 And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood.

I want to give glory to the Almighty God for the privilege to witness another edition of Beauty for Ashes in the Month of March, all glory to Him for ever in Jesus name. This morning, I will be ministering on the topic, The Great Provider. The job I have this week and this morning is to introduce my God to you as the Great Provider. There is no need This Great God cannot meet. I am confident in Him this morning that He will remember you and meet your needs in Jesus name.

Note the following nuggets please.
1. GOD IS NOT HAPPY TO SEE HIS CHILDREN IN LACK, HE IS NOT HAPPY WHEN HIS CHILDREN LACK GOOD THINGS. That is why He introduce Himself as the door in John 10:9.John 10:9 (KJV) I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

2. THE GREAT PROVIDER CAN EXCEED YOUR EXPECTATIONS. GIVEN YOU MORE THAN WHAT YOU ASKED. Ephesians 3:20 (KJV) Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
At the wedding of Cana of Galilee, The just needed wine, but Gave them the best.
Abraham believed God for a lamb, He gave Him a ram instead. The lame man at the beautiful gate was looking for money, but he got healing.

3. THE GREAT PROVIDER SUPPLIES NEEDS ACCORDING TO HIS RICHES IN GLORY NOT ACCORDING TO THE ECONOMY OF YOUR NATION. The widow in 2 Kings 4: 1-7, no one can explain the flow of the oil.

4. EVEN BEFORE YOU ARRIVED IN THE SCENE, GOD ALREADY MADE EVERYTHING YOU WOULD EVER NEED AVAILABLE TO YOU.1 Timothy 6:17 (KJV) Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

5. THE ONE WHO CREATED ALL THINGS CAN MEET ANY OF YOUR NEEDS, BECAUSE HE IS ABLE TO SUPPLY ALL OUR NEEDS.

Like I said earlier, my job is to introduce God to us this morning as The Great Provider., JEHOVAH jirah, the Lord who Provides, who is even more than a Provider. The one who has the power to make things happen. For example in 2 Kings 3:16-18 (KJV) 16 And he said, Thus saith the LORD, Make this valley full of ditches. 17 For thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts. 18 And this is but a light thing in the sight of the LORD: he will deliver the Moabites also into your hand.
May I tell you this morning, with the Lord as your Great Provider, every of your needs is a light thing before the Lord. All your needs are just mere simple things before the Lord.
Be rest assured this week, that your turn has finally come in Jesus name. Abraham was the first to call the Almighty God Jehovah Jirah which means, the Lord who provides, or the Lord who sees ahead to meet the needs ahead.

The Almighty God is so powerful that does not any assistance of any man before meeting your needs. This is because, He is the All sufficient God. For example in Numbers 11:13, 19-23, 31 (KJV) When the Isrealites wanted to eat flesh and began to complain

13 Whence should I have flesh to give unto all this people? for they weep unto me, saying, Give us flesh, that we may eat. 19 Ye shall not eat one day, nor two days, nor five days, neither ten days, nor twenty days;
20 But even a whole month, until it come out at your nostrils, and it be loathsome unto you: because that ye have despised the LORD which is among you, and have wept before him, saying, Why came we forth out of Egypt? 21 And Moses said, The people, among whom I am, are six hundred thousand footmen; and thou hast said, I will give them flesh, that they may eat a whole month. 22 Shall the flocks and the herds be slain for them, to suffice them? or shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to suffice them? 23 And the LORD said unto Moses, Is the LORD’S hand waxed short? thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or not. 31 And there went forth a wind from the LORD, and brought quails from the sea, and let them fall by the camp, as it were a day’s journey on this side, and as it were a day’s journey on the other side, round about the camp, and as it were two cubits high upon the face of the earth.

Moses was trying to remind God incase He has forgotten the population of the people so that God should not make any promise He won’t be able to fulfill, but God said IS THERE ANY LIMIT TO MY POWER? I want you to go home with a better understanding this morning, there is no limit to God’s power. The power can achieve anything in your life, the power can energies you when you are week, The power can make you whole, the power can provide your needs, the same power can give you victory. I decree this morning, because there is no limit to the power of God, your needs will be met in Jesus name.

THE GREAT PROVIDER CAN MEET ALL YOUR PHYSICAL NEEDS. How do I know, He cares. Matthew 6:30 (KJV) Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? How do I know, in Psalms 145:15-16 (KJV)
15 The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season.
16 Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.

Not only that in John 6:5 (KJV) When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?
The Lord cares about all our physical needs. In fact, when Adam and Eve sinned and made fig leaves to cover their nakedness, God still came to their rescue by changing it from fig leaves clothe to Leather clothes in Genesis 3:7, 21 (KJV)7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

In Luke 5, you know the story very well, how Peter toiled all night without nothing to show for it. The Lord Jesus stepped in to the situation. He was frustrated but when the great Provider finished with him, He exceeded his expectations. Maybe Peter was just looking for small thing to sell or just to make small money, but the Lord provided what he alone could not carry.

Abraham was only believing God for a lamb, but God exceeded his expectation by supplying a ram instead. This week, my God will exceed your expectations in Jesus name.

THE GREAT PROVIDER CAN MEET OUR NEEDS FINANCIALLY. How do I know that? He has done it for me and I know He will do it for you. In Haggai 2:7-8 (KJV)
7 And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts. 8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts. He once used fish to deliver the needed money for tax payment. That is the brain behind ATM machine, I have told you that before. Daddy GO has told us many testimonies of how God supplied his needs financially in which you heard from him also. Some of you that were here when the Lord was building this church also can testify that God is a great Provider.
Not only dies He provides financially, He takes people out of debt. In 2 Kings 4, you know the story of that widow that he took out if debt. If you are debt here this morning, the great Provider will make ways for you in Jesus name.

THE GREAT PROVIDER CAN MEET YOUR NEEDS HEALTH WISE. Many of us that are in need of sound health will testify this week in Jesus name. God’s desire for us is to be in health. To prosper bodily, soulishly and spiritually. In Luke 13: 10-17, you will a story of a woman that had spirit of infirmity for 18 years, bowed together, Jesus loosed her from that infirmity. What of Naaman in 2 Kings 5, he restored that one like a child, what a wonderful God.

THE GREAT PROVIDER CAN MEET YOUR NEEDS MARITALLY. There are many needs in various families, but the major in our African settings maritally is barrenness, lack of children. The only one who gives or who can give children is still this Great Provider. In Psalms 127:3 (KJV) Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
In our midst here, God has wiped aways tears of barrenness before.
I remembered when my wife was pregnant for the twins, the scan results showed two girls, we lifted our voices to The Great Provider. In agreement with our parents in the Lord, lo and behold, a boy and a girl came out.

IN CONCLUSION, THE GREAT PROVIDER CAN. HE CAN EXCEED YOUR EXPECTATIONS. Just believe He will do it for you. Be positive minded. Abraham already told Isaac that the Lord will provide Himself a lamb. Gen 22:8, he already had it in mind that, come rain come Sun, God will provide to the extent that He has to christen the place the same. He did not call the place a mount of temptation, not a mount of faith but the mount where God provided.

JEHOVAH JIRAH IS STILL IN THE BUSINESS OF CONVERSION OF WEALTH. Psalms 105:44 (KJV) And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;
