Lion of Judah
TOPIC: LION OF JUDAH
TEXT: Revelation 5:1-5 (KJV)
1 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.
2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?
3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.
4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.
5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

Say Father, you are the Lion of Judah, arise; and pursue all my pursuers in the name of Jesus!
When you look at some characteristics of lions, you will discover that lions are very interesting creatures and by looking at some of their characteristics; we can know and understand more why our Lord is known as ‘The Lion Of Judah’:
****Lions sees six times better in the dark/day than a human. The Lion of Judah knows and sees all secrets, what no man see, the Lord sees. Lion can see what man cannot see. Psalms 139:12 (KJV) Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.
*****Lions have a well developed sense of hearing. Isaiah 59:1 (KJV) Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
*****Lions are brave and courageous. Proverbs 28:1 (KJV) The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion. When you are talking about the righteous one, it is the lion of Judah
*****The look on the face of a Lions is fearsome. What did the Bible says about the Lord ‘the Lord our God is a consuming fire’, and He fights like a mighty terrible one.
****The lion is a fearless fighter. Exodus 15:3 (KJV) The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.
****Lions are born with their vocal cords already working. As they grow older, the vocal cords begin to get louder and better and develop. The Lion of Judah was born with all His mandate given recorded before even His birth. Isaiah 9:6 (KJV) For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
****A fully grown matured lion can roar that it will stir up the dust around it. And sometimes, we need to roar as believers; our roar may not be a loud noise. Sometimes, God is telling us as Christians to roar loudly instead of remaining silent. Joel 3:16 (KJV) The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel. Lets look at it in MSG VERSION
****The lion will not let another take away the boundary of its territory. The lions draw a territory that no enemy can trespass. TALKING ABOUT RESISTANCE. RESIST THE DEVIL AND IT SHALL FLEE. Remember Satan and Job. Job 1:9-10 (KJV)
9 Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?
10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.
****The job of the real lion is primary, that of PROTECTION; DEFENDING its territory AND DEALING WITH intruders. Matthew 15:13 (KJV) But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.
*****Lions are capable of taking down very large preys. WHO ART THOU O GREAT MOUNTAIN. THEY ARE DESIGNED FOR BATTLES. Goliath was a large pray. It was The Lion of Judah that brought the prey down
Therefore the Lion of the tribe of Judah is Jesus the Anointed one of God. There are many Christians that are being devoured right now, both physically and spiritually; they are losing strength and they need to connect to the anointing of the Lion of the tribe of Judah.
They threw Daniel into the lion’s den, it was a huge mistake; because they did not know that there is someone known as the Lion of the tribe of Judah, and lions do not consume lions. The threw the son of the Lion of the tribe of Judah into the lions den, and the lions did not touch him. BEGINNING from today, you are untouchable in Jesus name.
What do i stand to gain when I am connected to the Lion of the tribe of Judah?
- He will fight for you just the way lion will fight its prey. In Exodus 14:14 (KJV) The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. What does it mean for one to hold his or her peace in the midst of war. It means you will be just be looking as if you are dreaming. For example, Daniel was thrown in the lion’s den, but nothing happened to him. He held his peace. The son of the lion of Judah was thrown in the den of lions. The lions there recognised a bigger lion. Any you know when the Lion of judah is involved, even lion consumes selectively. BEGINNING from today, your case shall be different
- He will protect you and yours. God’s protection means you are inaccessible to the enemy, no matter the circumstances. According to the Scriptures, God encircles, encompasses, covers and shields those who make Him their refuge. God was a refuge for Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the fiery furnace. They were faithful to God and believed God. They didn’t bow and they didn’t burn. They didn’t even smell of smoke
Zechariah 2:5 (KJV) For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.
- God will protect your territory just like the lions do. Psalms 91:7, 10 (KJV)
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. 10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
- You can be rest assured that He will carry your burden. I was explaining to us that physical lion can lift loads that is times 3 of itself. The lion of Judah can carry you and your load at the same time. Isaiah 46:4 (KJV) And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.
There was a challenge in John 6:9 (KJV) There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many? He took over the matter and gave them in abundance.
What is your own challenge, my God will carry you this morning in Jesus name.
- A lion can confront any animal irrespective of the size, in the same vein, when you are connected with the lion of Judah He will on your behalf confront those giants of your life. There enemies stronger than you whether you believe it or not. For example the Psalmist says in Psalms 18:17 (KJV) He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me.
Some sicknesses are too strong, some challenges of life are just too strong, but your connection to the one who is stronger than the strongest will deliver you. He confronted Pharaoh and his host, he drown them. He confronted the companies of Korah DATHAN and abiram, He buried them alive. He will confront your enemies this season in Jesus name.
- An act of roaring of a lion brings about a confusion in the lives of many animals. The same goes for the lion of Judah. Psalms 46:6 (KJV) The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.
The lion of Judah roared at the tomb of Lazarus (John 11:43), death melted. Whatever represents death around you, as you roared that HALLELUJAH, it shall melt away in Jesus name
- A lion moves very fast. In fact, lion is one of the fastest animal on ground, they can move at the rate of 80 to 90 kilometers per hour. That speed enables it to meet its target, When you are connected to the lion of Judah, He does not need to run at that rate, but His presence is with you always. 2 Chronicles 16:9 (KJV) For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.
- What is impossible for other animals is possible for lion. When you have the Lion of Judah with you, nothing shall be impossible. Revelations 5: 4And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. 5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
- Lion is capable of fighting on the land, in waters, on the trees, in the cave, the only area of limitation is in the air, but you know the Lion of Judah has no limitations.
Ephesians 3:20 (KJV) Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
In conclusion, when you are connected to the Lion of Judah, all things are your. 1 Corinthians 3:21-22 (KJV)
21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are your’s;
22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are your’s;
But you have to surrender your life to Jesus.
